Sports Setup and Adjustment

MONO RACING is built on the settings of TEIN's SUPER RACING flagship and on data gathered through motorsport participation, so spring rates and damping force are tuned specifically for track use. Front strut suspensions get camber and caster adjustable pillow ball upper mounts, with camber adjustable steplessly and caster in 4 steps, while strut type lower brackets add their own camber adjustment through an eccentric washer for a wider total range. At purchase, spring rate can be changed by plus or minus 2 kgf per millimeter at no extra cost, and damping force or stroke length can be customized to order through TEIN's Damping Force Customize System, typically within a 2 week lead time.

Construction and Durability

MONO RACING uses a mono tube structure with a strut type Upright Strong Tube, developed through WRC and WRX participation, fully separating the oil and gas chambers for stable, linear damping force even under repeated hard use. Damping force is adjustable across 16 levels for compression and rebound together, using TEIN's ADVANCE M.S.V. system for a wider adjustable range and finer control at low speed, and the kit is EDFC compatible for electronic adjustment from the driver's seat. The shell case is finished with TEIN's green powder coating, patented 2 layer, 1 bake anti rust treatment, and ZTP surface coating for protection against stone chips and corrosion.


Kit Contents and Service

MONO RACING uses full length ride height adjustment, so the case length can be changed with minimal effect on ride quality, and includes SAE9254 cold formed springs that resist sagging and corrosion. Dust boots and bump rubbers are purpose designed for durability, with some models using OE parts. As with other MONO series dampers, MONO RACING can be sent back for overhaul or revalving, in addition to the custom damping and stroke options available at the time of purchase.
