After more than a year of testing, we are excited to offer you a world premiere: Ceramic (Carbon Ceramic) brake discs specifically for the MQB platform. Not only is each disc nearly half the weight of the (small) factory brake disc, but the kit is also packed with motorsport-inspired features, including the forged Stage 3 monoblock brake calipers and matching ceramic brake pads. The 380 mm disc construction even provides significant advantages over traditional ceramic products. It delivers amazing braking performance time and time again.
What are the benefits?
With three times the heat capacity of steel brakes, the braking force is exceptionally consistent during repeated braking. Unlike all steel brake kits that lose braking force over time.
Despite this capacity under heavy load, the Stage 3+ Carbon Kit is also perfect for daily use and has good pedal response in cold temperatures.
The ceramic discs weigh almost half of the standard discs, which are also significantly smaller. Each ceramic disc weighs 5.7KG while the standard factory disc weighs 10.4KG on a Golf7R or Audi S3.
The lightweight forged Monoblock brake calipers are the same as our beautiful Stage 3 set – with the caliper machined from a single piece of forged steel.
Do you already have the Racingline Stage 3 kit?
If you already have the Stage 3 kit, you can upgrade to the Stage 3+ kit by purchasing the Ceramic discs. The brake pads will need to be replaced immediately with the upgrade.
For more aggressive track use, and the higher temperatures generated by the ceramic discs, Racingline advises removing the dust seals from the brake calipers.
