Technical Description
The EBC Ultimax2 is an OEM-equivalent, road-focused brake pad designed for everyday driving applications such as passenger cars, vans, and SUVs. It uses a non-metallic, steel-fibre-free aramid-based friction compound that prioritises smooth braking, low noise, and reduced disc wear. The pad is engineered for consistent performance in all weather conditions, delivering strong initial bite from cold and a progressive braking feel throughout its service life. It is ECE R90 approved, making it fully road legal in Europe as a direct replacement for original equipment pads.
The compound is tuned for durability and comfort rather than high thermal extremes, making it unsuitable for track use but ideal for daily road driving where predictable, quiet, and low-dust braking is preferred.
