GiroDisc Titanium Backing Plate Kit

This Titanium backing plate kit consist of 4 plates, that help to prevent brake fluid from boiling. Titanium as a material, has low thermal conductivity. This means that it is very bad at transferring heat. When a thin titanium shim placed between the pad back and the pistons, the braking heat is kept from transferring into the pistons and fluid. For cars that are going to see hard or multiple track days, these shims are a good protection from loosing the pedal pressure due to boiling brake fluid. Water jet cut to exact size, no cutting or grinding involved.

Every GiroDisc rotor is designed, engineered, and manufactured on-site at their 17,000 sq. ft. Bellingham facility, which runs on a 75kW solar array and recycles all raw scrap material. First sold in 2004 for the Ferrari 360, the brand has grown steadily through a commitment to quality, customer relationships, and continuous investment in manufacturing, including their own brake dynamometer installed in 2019.
