Thirty Years of Rethinking Suspension 

KW Automotive was founded in Fichtenberg, Germany, in 1993, and from the beginning, the approach was to question established conventions rather than follow them. What started with modified KONI dampers and lowering springs evolved by 1995 into one of the first TÜV-approved adjustable coilover suspensions on the market. From there, KW introduced patented dual-adjustable damper technology, the INOX Line stainless steel platform, the first electronically adjustable coilover suspension with a dedicated app, and ultimately the solid piston displacement damper technology now used at the highest levels of GT3 competition. Each development was not an incremental update but a genuine rethinking of what a suspension system should do.



Engineering You Can Feel 

Every KW product is developed, tested, and validated in-house, including on KW's own 7-post dynamic test rig, which simulates real driving conditions to verify damper behaviour before any product reaches a customer. With over 6,500 vehicle applications spanning daily drivers to hypercars, and more than 25 years of chassis development experience, KW offers a suspension solution for virtually every performance need, from the plug-and-play simplicity of the V1 to the five-way adjustability of the V6 Racing. All of it designed and built in Fichtenberg.


From the Road to the Racetrack and Back 

KW's motorsport involvement is not a marketing exercise, it is the source of the technology that ends up in road products. The KW V6 Racing solid piston damper was developed for GT3 competition and is used in the Porsche GT3 R, BMW M4 GT3, and, since 2024, in the Lamborghini SC63 hypercar programme alongside KW V5 Formula Racing units. The same engineering principles behind those race dampers are carried directly into the V4, V5, and DDC road product lines. With over 1,250 race cars equipped and more than 450 race wins to KW's name, the connection between competition and product development is direct and continuous.
