R220X is the successor to ME20 and N35S, developed to deliver a higher overall friction level with particular emphasis on very fast initial bite and response time. It is designed for drivers who want stronger and more immediate braking performance while still retaining the pedal feel and modulation needed for precise control in demanding use. Its braking character is defined by rapid friction build-up and a highly responsive feel at the pedal, making it especially effective in situations where quick brake reaction is critical to performance. R220X is well suited to experienced track-day driving, rally applications on both tarmac and gravel, and GT use where strong braking performance must be combined with control and consistency, including in cars where ABS intervention management is important. Overall, it is positioned as a more aggressive and higher-friction compound that builds on the strengths of ME20 and N35S while delivering sharper response and broader motorsport capability
