Kaaz Super-Q
The Kaaz Super Q is an upgraded variant of the standard Kaaz LSD, built around the same proven clutch-type differential internals but with one key difference: the clutch plates are put through a WPC surface treatment process before assembly, resulting in a quieter, longer-lasting, and more street-friendly differential without any compromise in performance.
What WPC treatment does
WPC (Wide Peening Compressing) is not a coating — it's a permanent surface modification. Ultra-fine particles are fired at the metal clutch plates at high speed, permanently hardening and smoothing the surface at a microscopic level. The result is a denser, harder plate surface that runs cooler, wears slower, and generates less friction noise during normal operation.
Key benefits
- No break-in needed: Plates are pre-hardened from the factory — install and drive immediately.
- Reduced chatter: Significantly less clunking and noise compared to standard steel plates.
- Better heat dissipation: Treated surface runs cooler under sustained load and track conditions.
- Longer service life: Typically 20–50% longer wear life versus standard clutch plates.
Super Q vs standard — at a glance
Standard | Super Q |
Requires break-in period after install | Ready to use straight out of the box |
More clutch chatter on low-speed turns | Quieter and smoother in daily use |
Pure race spec, ideal for track-only cars | Best of both worlds: track performance + street comfort |
Same adjustability, upgraded internals
The Super Q retains all the same locking rate adjustability as the standard Kaaz LSD — cam ramp angles, clutch plate configuration, and preload settings are all unchanged. It is available in both 1.5-way and 2-way configurations across the full Kaaz vehicle range.
