The Performance Clutches Stage 1 Street HD Single Mass Flywheel Kit is engineered for BMW E36 and E46 drivers seeking increased torque capacity, durability, and the performance advantages of a lightweight solid flywheel conversion. The kit centers around a 7.2kg lightweight single mass flywheel, manufactured from 4140 forged steel with an integral ring gear. This forged construction provides exceptional mechanical strength and heat resistance while significantly reducing rotational mass. By lowering the engine’s moment of inertia, revs build and fall more rapidly — resulting in sharper throttle response and quicker, more precise gear changes.
