Pipercross F8X M2C, M3 & M4 Intake Kit
The Pipercross Intake Kit is designed and engineered to replace the OEM filters and intake plumbing on the F8X-chassis BMW M2 Competition, M3 and M4 cars equipped with the S55 engine.

AIR FILTERS
The bespoke Pipercross conical air filters are at the core of this intake kit. They use the established Pipercross air filter design process to achieve the kit's airflow target while maintaining filtration to protect the engine. The Pipercross foam mesh blend balances increased airflow with effective air filtration, while the coated steel backing and formed-then-coated aluminium base reflect decades of Pipercross filter manufacturing experience.
INTAKE PIPES
The aluminium intake pipes complement the conical air filters. Bend angles and tube radii are chosen for efficient airflow into the turbochargers. The hard-anodised, smooth internal finish reduces airflow restriction compared with rougher cast or welded alternatives. The 4-Ply silicone connection hoses provide engine decoupling while resisting hose collapse under boost. 3D-printed silicone hose couplers maintain a consistent ID across each transition.
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT
All Pipercross products are designed in-house using current 3D-printing, 3D-scanning, CAD, CFD, airflow testing and performance testing technologies. The F8X Intake Kit went through several design iterations to fit the engine bay, work with the existing OE turbochargers and meet the kit's design criteria. Performance testing of the OEM and final Pipercross intake design was completed across both Pipercross and third-party dynamometer cells for unbiased final results.
PERFORMANCE TESTING DATA
The final Pipercross F8X Intake Kit was tested across multiple platforms (F87 M2C, F80 M3, F82 M4) with both manual and automatic transmissions, and across a range of aftermarket tuning files. Testing was carried out on chassis dynamometers under controlled conditions, with only the intake system changed between runs. The Pipercross kit delivered consistent power and torque improvements throughout the rev range, with peak gains tracked in the dyno graphs.
